PSE within Irvine Royal Academy is delivered by our young people's Principal Teacher of Guidance, this allows them to further develop and deepen their pastoral relationship with their caseload. Courses are tailored to the needs of our young people and our self-evaluation allows us to be reactive to ensuring their mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing needs are fulfilled which supporting them in planning for choices and changes, substance misuse and relationships and sexual health and parenthood.
Throughout the year the Principal Teacher of Guidance will hold learning conversations with the young people in PSE to discuss their report card, attendance, uniform, time-keeping alongside their health and wellbeing.
