Christians Against Poverty (CAP) provides free debt help and local community groups across the UK. Our free services, run with local churches, provide practical and emotional support and show people that there is always hope.

What makes CAP Unique

  • Only providers of in-home debt advice in the UK.
  • Client emergency aid can be provided.
  • Person-centred support. We bring a friend along to most meetings if the client agrees to meet someone else who can help.
  • Lifelong money education: 93% of clients remain debt free long after working with CAP.
  • We care: 97% of clients rate their debt coach as ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ at being friendly.
  • We go the extra mile: e.g. A Scottish Debt Centre redecorated a client’s flat after a fire.
  • Endorsed by Martin Lewis from the Money Saving Expert.
  • Supported and run by local people for the benefit of local people.
