Routes for All is a widening access programme offered by the University of the West of Scotland to pupils at Irvine Royal Academy who are planning on attending college before applying to university in the future.

S6 pupils visited UWS Paisley on Tuesday 20th December, where they learned more about the college application process, how to best tackle personal statements and were also given a tour of the campus. Some university lecturers also took the time to speak with pupils about pathways to Engineering and Creative Arts.

“I’ve learned more about what opportunities are available to me and that uni isn’t as difficult to apply to as people say. I still haven’t decided what I want to do yet, but I know more about what is out there and uni is something I might consider now”

The ‘Routes for All’ team are scheduled to work alongside the current S6 in early 2024, with a date on campus scheduled for Spring/Summer 2024.
